I started to explore this approach for Anti-complexity reasons.

I don’t want to think endlessly on how to match colors, and other elements. So I defined a set of rules to guide me in the design process.

  1. Use 3 colors. Black and white are the most common choices, plus another one to highlight special elements. (Exception: the color of buy-buttons)
  2. Put connected elements close. Otherwise leave white space to demarcate a separation.
  3. Align elements of the page left or right. If you put everything to the center is a chaos. Give that position only to special elements.
  4. Make sure that an element is necessary. Or take it off and leave white space.
    1. Does is highlight essential information?
    2. Does it guide the reader in the right direction?
  5. White backgrounds are more relaxing and easier to read.
  6. Use a border, or a different background only for uniqueness
  7. These rules also apply to the Navigation.
